"Swami Ramanuja and Yadava Prakashar' s meet: Part 3"

Swami Ramanuja continues to do the "Theertha" kainkaryam in Kanchipuram. He meets his mother Smt. Kanthimathi and tells her what happened in the school and during the holy tour. She was taken back, but uttered to Swami Ramanuja- "Ramanuja- my child! With Lord's grace, you have come back safe. Continue doing services (kainkaryam) to the Lord of Kanchipuram. The ultimate purpose of life is to render unconditional service to the Divine couple and attain salvation! This is a divine play that Lord had played with you. It would be a divine plan and would have some purpose. So, leave everything to Lord and surrender unto His holy feet." Hearing these words, Swami Ramanuja pays respect to his mother and gets back to serve the Lord of Kanchipuram- Varadaraaja Perumal!

Smt. Kanthimathi ammanga expressed her desire of seeing her son enter the Grushasthaashramam and finds a pious lady in marriage for Swami Ramanuja. Ramanuja gets married to this lady- Smt. Thangammaal. Swami's wife was very pious and was following all the rituals as prescribed in the ancient scriptures. Swami continued to render unconditional and devotional services to Varadaraaja Perumal.

One fine day, while Swami was in the temple of Lord Varadaraaja Perumal, there was a group of learned scholars entering the temple, headed by Yadavaprakasar. Yadavaprakasar was startled to see Swami Ramanuja, who was immersed in the service of Lord in Kanchipuram. Swami, looking at his teacher, paid his humble obeisances and inquired about their holy tour. He was happy to know that his brother- 'Govinda' had started rendering services at SriKalahasthi to Lord Siva, after he was blessed with a Siva Lingam (the manifestation of Lord Siva) while having a dip in the holy river. He was told by Yaadavaprakasa that Govinda is destined to render services to Lord Siva in SriKalahasthi and thus stayed back.

Swami Ramanuja was very happy seeing his teacher. He joined Yadavaprakasar's school again. Swami continued to learn the ancient scriptures; but was unhappy with certain explanations given by the teacher. Swami Ramanuja expressed his views to the teacher, but Yaadvaprakasa told the latter to leave the school if he was not prepared to accept the meanings taught in the class. With due respects, Swami submitted his obeisances to Yadavaprakasa and left the school.
